Pirollo, Youngkin Named Alvernia Athletes of The Week

Reading, Pa. (Jan. 21, 2019) – Women’s Track and Field sophomore Susanna Pirollo and Men’s Basketball junior Nick Youngkin were named Alvernia Athletes of the Week for their performance during the week of January 14 – January 20.

Susanna Pirollo had two top-ten finishes for the Golden Wolves. Pirollo had a fourth place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.45m. She also had a sixth place finish in the long jump with a mark of 4.87m.

Nick Youngkin averaged 17.5 points, had 7.0 rebounds, and was 4-4 from the line in a 2-0 week for Alvernia. Youngkin scored a game-high 22 points and nine rebounds in a 54-52 win over crosstown rival Albright College. On Friday against the University of Valley Forge, Youngkin scored 13 points and had five boards in a 71-54 non-conference win for the Golden Wolves.
