Schaffer Garners Second MAC Swimmer of the Week Honor

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Albright Sophomore Bryce Schaffer was named MAC Swimmer of the Week as announced by the league office on January 21.

Schaffer captured the 100 butterfly in a time of 52.57 and won the 200 IM in a time of 2:02.66 as the Lions recorded a 117-82 victory over Elizabethtown in dual meet action on Saturday. He also swam the third leg for the 200 medley relay winning team (1:40.16).

The Reading, Pa., native now owns two of the top three 100 fly times in the MAC this season after he turned in a time of 51.23 at the Golden Ram Invitational in December.

This marks the second weekly honor of the season for Schaffer and the fifth of his career.

Albright returns to the pool on Saturday, Feb. 2 with a tri-meet against Messiah and Misericordia that will be hosted by the Falcons beginning at 1 p.m.
