ANNVILLE, Pa. – Albright senior Erica Bross was named to the 2018 Academic All-MAC Women’s Soccer team that was announced by the league office on January 22.
This marks the second consecutive year that Bross has earned the Academic All-MAC honor.
The Academic All-MAC Teams were created to honor and recognize those student-athletes who achieve success both on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes are nominated and then voted on by the MAC sports information directions, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success. 11 athletes were named to the women’s soccer team.
In addition to her outstanding play on the field, Bross posted a 3.77 GPA in the classroom as a Political Science major. The Allentown, Pa., native helped lead the Lions to a program-record 14 wins and spearheaded a defensive effort that saw them allow just 26 goals in 21 games. Bross scored three goals on the season and received All-MAC Commonwealth First Team honors for the third straight year while also earning All-Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches Organization for the second straight year.
