Penn State Berks Community Connections opens door to different cultures

Wyomissing, PA – A new monthly program at Penn State Berks titled “Berks Community Connections” is opening the door to various cultures around the world. For the March program, Dr. Theodore Ogaldez will give a presentation on Belize with assistance from Sharon Pitterson-Ogaldez, Coordinator of Diversity and International Programs at Penn State Berks. The event will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 22, in the Perkins Student Center Multipurpose Room, and it is free and open to the public.

Dr. Theodore Ogaldez is a native of Belize and is Garinagu by ethnicity. He and his wife, Sharon, resided there for five years. Together they will discuss the culture and what makes Belize such a special place to live and visit.

Berks Community Connections is a cultural series of events co-sponsored by the Berks Diversity Committee and Campus Activities Board. Funding is provided mainly by the Student Activity Fund and the Campus Activities Board.
