Chamber Alliance Announces Henry Winkler as Annual Dinner Keynote Speaker

by Greater Reading Chamber Alliance

Reading, PA – The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) is pleased to announce that Henry Winkler, Actor, Director, Producer and New York Times Best-Selling Author, will serve as keynote speaker at GRCA’s Annual Dinner on Thursday, May 23. The Dinner is the area’s largest gathering of business and community leaders, with an expected crowd of around 1,000 people.

The Dinner will also celebrate the Greater Reading business community with the Greater Reading Top Business Awards, the Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards, and the third annual Albert Boscov Economic Development Award.

Best known for his iconic portrayal of “The Fonz” on Happy Days, Winkler’s work as an actor, director, producer, and New York Times best-selling author has garnered him two Golden Globes and, most recently, his first Primetime Emmy Award for HBO’s Barry. He’s enjoyed over four decades of success in Hollywood via film and TV appearances, earning him fans from multiple generations, who might see him in roles in (among many others) Arrested Development, Royal Pains, Parks and Recreation, Waterboy, Holes, and Scream along with his current role in Barry.

We’ll spend an evening with this Hollywood icon.  Henry Winkler’s warm personality and humor will charm audiences as he shares humorous anecdotes about his storied career in television and entertainment, inspirational life lessons, as well as his personal story about overcoming adversity.

“The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance is excited for what will be another outstanding Annual Dinner,” said Randy Peers, GRCA President & CEO. “Each year, the GRCA’s Dinner features a nationally-known keynote speaker to address our business community. This year, we’re thrilled to bring Henry Winkler to Reading. He’s more than just The Fonz: Mr. Winkler’s long success in Hollywood, his reputation as one of the ‘good guys,’ and his own story of overcoming adversities make him a speaker we know the Greater Reading community won’t want to miss.”

The dinner will be held on May 23 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Santander Arena, Reading. The public is invited to join GRCA for its signature event, which provides nearly 1,000 business leaders the opportunity to network, entertain guests and clients, and celebrate the Greater Reading business community.

The event’s title sponsors are Wells Fargo and Brentwood Industries.
