The A-Z Guide to Food As Medicine 2nd edition published

Story written by Diane Kraft

Mar 07, 2019

Following the first edition A-Z Guide to Food As Medicine (Taylor & Francis Group), nutrition book recipient of a 2017 American Library Association Outstanding Academic Title Award, the 2nd edition was published in February 2019.

Author Diane Kraft, Alvernia University nutrition instructor, reprised the book as a dictionary-style reference for health professionals that summarizes the physiological effects of more than 250 foods, food groups, nutrients, and phytochemicals.

This edition is being test-piloted in high school Family & Consumer Science classrooms, to bring food, nutrition, and phytochemical knowledge to younger students, and free lesson plans and teaching aids are available, including ready-made Powerpoints at: https://www.crcpress.com/The-A-Z-Guide-to-Food-as-Medicine-Second-Edition/Kraft/p/book/9781138595798
