Reading Theater Project Celebrates Community with Free Admission Cabaret & Fundraiser

Reading-based theater company presents its fourth annual Jazz Fest Cabaret

Reading, PA — Building on its reputation for creating new and exciting theater that is relevant to the Berks County community, the Reading Theater Project has announced its fourth annual Jazz Fest Cabaret, April 6, 2019, 7 to 10 p.m., at the Olympian Ballroom, 603 Penn Ave, West Reading PA, 19611.  Admission is free.

The cabaret will both celebrate the Berks County community and serve as the theater company’s annual fundraiser.  The night will showcase local musicians and performers. Emceed by Artistic Director Vicki Haller Graff, the evening’s lineup includes: Rockman Blues Band; the Pagoda City Stompers with Chris Heslop, Josh Taylor, Andy Roberts, Mike Evangelista and Dave Lazorcik;  drag entertainer Amie Vanité; dancing champion Rachel Skye; and close-up magician Matty Whipple.

Throughout the cabaret, audience members can enter raffles to win one of several gift certificates to the tastiest restaurants in the area. There is a silent auction with prizes including 2020 Berks Jazz Fest VIP passes, art, dinner and shows, jewelry, yoga and much more. A cash bar will be open during the event.

The Reading Theater Project is multigenerational collective of performing artists who create new theater in Reading, Pa.
