READING, Pa. – Following two solid performances in net, sophomore goalkeeper Terae Mason earned MAC Commonwealth women’s lacrosse defensive player of the week honors, announced by the conference on March 18.

Mason helped lead the Lions to a perfect 2-0 week behind wins over Elizabethtown and Farmingdale State. On Wednesday, Mason made 10 saves on 25 shots faced and allowed just five goals in the Lions 17-10 win over the Blue Jays. She followed that up by allowing just two goals on 13 shots faced, while making six saves in the Lions 16-6 win over Farmingdale State on Saturday afternoon. Mason also had one caused turnover against the Rams.

The Academy Park product currently ranks second in the MAC Commonwealth with 10.06 GAA, and ranks fourth in saves per game at 9.57. Mason also ranks third in the conference with a .508 save percentage. This is the third time in Mason’s career that she has earned defensive player of the week honors.
