Art by Boyertown students featured at exhibit in Reading

READING, PA – Artwork by students of all ages in the Boyertown Area School District is on public display at Berks County Community Foundation through April 26.

The exhibit opened to the public on March 25, 2019. Hundreds of student artists and their families, friends, teachers, and supporters attended an opening reception on Sunday, March 24.

The exhibit is part of an ongoing series showcasing artwork by students from across Berks County. Previous exhibits featured artwork from the Conrad Weiser, Governor Mifflin, Kutztown, Muhlenberg, Reading, Tulpehocken, Wilson, and Wyomissing school districts, area Catholic schools, and students who volunteer for VOiCEup Berks. VOiCEup is a fund of the Community Foundation that creates opportunities for people to volunteer in the community.

The exhibits, which feature work in varying media, are a way for the community to support schools’ art programs. The eventual goal of the exhibits program is to showcase artwork from students representing all schools in Berks County.

The free exhibit in the Community Foundation building at 237 Court St., Reading, is open to visitors Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
