The City of Reading invites citizens, public agencies and other interested parties to participate in the development of the City’s Annual Action Plan covering federal fiscal year 2020 by attending a public hearing on April 30, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. in City Hall, 815 Washington Street, Second Floor City Council Chambers, Reading.
The purpose of the hearing is to obtain the views and comments of individuals and organizations regarding the overall housing and community development needs of the City and a review of the past program performance. The information will be used in preparation of the 2020 Action Plan.
For Federal Fiscal Year 2020, the City expects to receive $2,500,000 from the CDBG Program, $800,000 from the HOME program, $215,000 from the ESG Program. The City is also eligible to participate in the Section 108 Program. Section 108 is the loan guarantee provision of the CDBG Program whereby the City can borrow up to five times their latest CDBG Program grant for eligible activities.
