RACC Hosts Berks County Undergraduate Research and Creativity Conference

Reading, PA – On April 27, 2019, Reading Area Community College will host the 20th Annual Higher Education Council of Berks County (HECBC) Undergraduate and Research and Creativity Conference.

Nearly 300 undergraduates who attend one of Berks County’s colleges or universities, Albright College, Alvernia University, Kutztown University, Pennsylvania State University, and Reading Area Community College, will present their academic and creative work through posters, paper presentations, and performances. The conference is open to any undergraduate student seeking an opportunity to share their expertise with other scholars.

The full day conference provides an opportunity for students to showcase their research in academic fields including, but not limited to: education, social sciences, natural sciences, the humanities, or business. Poster sessions will be in the Schmidt Training and Technology Center.

This year’s HEBCB conference also has a large body of visual art submissions. The categories for visual art include but are not limited to: ceramics, design, drawing, mixed media, multi-media, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. Art work will be displayed in the Miller Center for the Arts.

RACC President Dr. Looney states, “I look forward to hosting our colleagues and celebrating students’ work. Such days highlight the rich and varied educational opportunities students have in Berks County. RACC is proud to be part of these days of academic excellence.”
