YMCA of Reading & Berks County Hosts Inaugural Pre-K Counts Graduation

Reading – On Wednesday June 5, 2019 the YMCA of Reading and Berks County graduated its first ever Pre-K Counts class with 22 students receiving their diplomas adorned in their red caps and gowns. Over 100 individuals, including parents, grand-parents, siblings and friends attended the graduation ceremony held in the Miller Auditorium.

Reading School District’s Superintendent, Dr. Khalid Mumin, officiated the ceremony and presented each child with their diploma offering them words of encouragement, hope and praise as they look forward to starting Kindergarten in the Fall. The children introduced themselves, shared with the audience what they want to be when they grow up and sang songs for those in attendance.
