RACC Students Win Big at Beacon Conference

Jun 13, 2019

Congratulations to Reading Area Community College students Ashley Beck de Muñoz and Emma Wright for their winning research papers. Ashley and Emma presented their work at the 27th Annual Beacon Conference on Friday, June 7, 2019. Both students were mentored by Reading Area Community College PTK advisor, and RACC faculty member Dr. Danelle Bower.

“We are very proud of Ashley and Emma’s outstanding academic achievements in preparing these winning submissions. Both of these students are extremely hard workers, and their determination is an inspiration to everyone at Reading Area Community College,” says RACC President Dr. Susan Looney.

The Beacon Conference is an annual student research conference among 15 community colleges in the Northeast. Students submit research papers that are ranked by a panel of professors and administrators. Students with the best papers are invited to present at the conference and compete for the top prize.
