West Reading, Pa. – Reading Hospital will hold its annual Garden Party on Wednesday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Reading Hospital Clock Tower at 6th Avenue and Spruce Streets. The popular Garden Party is a fun event that raises awareness about Reading Hospital Foundation’s mission to support innovation, education, and research all focused on improving healthcare in the community.

“Many Berks County families have been attending Garden Party for generations,” said Jeff Rush, Chairman, Reading Hospital Foundation. “We are proud to support this beloved summer tradition that provides our community a family-friendly event filled with educational activities and summer games.”

The event will feature activities and games for all ages, gourmet food trucks, take-home crafts, lawn games, face painting, and much more. Activities will include Mad Garden Science with hands on science experiments, as well as a booth from Yocum Institute for Arts Education where children can create their own flower crown, make a giant paper flower, or paint their own flower pot.

Food trucks will include Baby Blues BBQ, Cow and the Curd, Kona Ice, Lancaster Burger Truck, Nick’s Roast Beef, Philadelphia EATS, Pizza Wagon, Sweet Ride Ice Cream, WAFFLE de Lys, and Weaver’s Orchard.

Admission to Garden Party and participation in all activities is free, and the event will take place rain or shine. Food and beverages will be sold for cash purchase only. Free parking will be available in the 6th Avenue Garage, 7th Avenue Garage, and Reading HealthPlex Lot on 7th Avenue.

Katherine Thornton, President, Reading Hospital Foundation, remarked, “Hosting an event open to the entire community, including our employees and their families, allows us to bring everyone together and share the mission of the Reading Hospital Foundation and the important work the Reading Hospital team does each and every day in Advancing Health and Transforming Lives.”
