National Health Center Week Will Include Visit From HRSA Regional Administrator
Berks Community Health Center is planning four free community events, open to the public, to mark National Health Center Week, August 4 – 10, 2019.
The events will offer a variety of children’s activities, including a bounce house, balloon artist, arts and crafts, and visits by local mascots. There will be music and refreshments, health screenings, raffle prizes, and information tables presented by local community, health, social services and government organizations and representatives.
Event schedule is:
- Tuesday, August 6: 4 – 7 PM at BCHC at Oakbrook, 1040 Liggett Avenue, Reading
- Wednesday, August 7: 3 – 6 PM at BCHC at 2nd Street, 430 N. 2nd Street, Reading
- Friday, August 9: 3 – 6 PM at BCHC at Rockland, 1110 Rockland Street, Reading
- Saturday, August 10: 10 AM – 1 PM at BCHC at Penn Street, 838 Penn Street, Reading
Special guest Pam Kania, Regional Director of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA,) will attend the 2nd Street event on Wednesday, August 7, after touring BCHC’s newest location at Rockland.
This will be the sixth year that BCHC holds Community Days. Support from donors helps make the events possible. Major sponsors of the events this year include:
