Olivet Club Campers Run Wild Over Madagascar!

Olivet Club Campers Run Wild Over Madagascar!
Olivet Boys & Girls Club invites community members to escape life’s “zoo” and join them on a transatlantic musical adventure: DreamWorks Madagascar – A Musical Adventure Jr. The show, which begins on August 8th and runs through the 10th, follows a group of Central Park Zoo animals who are unexpectedly shipped to Africa.

Madagascar follows four friends who are thrust into an exciting, high-stakes, international adventure at the very moment in which they start to imagine the possibilities beyond the safe environment in which they live.  Drew Cohen, president of Music Theatre International (MTI), stated that “Olivet Center for the Arts campers are on a similar journey; they are experimenting with new skill sets as they venture into new territory personally and creatively, and they are forming new friendships through the shared experience of collaborating on this show.”  MTI, through its Broadway Junior™ division, works with the authors of classic musicals to create special editions suitable for students to perform. Olivet’s PAL Center for the Arts was recognized as “BEST of the BEST in PA” in 2018 by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.

Performances are at the PAL Center for the Arts, 328 Walnut Street, Reading, and begin at 7:00 PM.  Admission is FREE.  For more information on the performance please contact the PAL Center for the Arts at 610-373-8910 or by email.
Olivet Boys & Girls Club serves more than 3,300 children at 11 club sites throughout Reading, Berks County, and Pottstown.
