Kutztown University Names Kim O’Neill Assistant Dean of College Of Business

KUTZTOWN, PA – Kim O’Neill has been appointed assistant dean of Kutztown University’s College of Business. O’Neill comes to KU from the University of Washington (UW) Bothell, where she worked for several years. She began her tenure at KU Aug. 5.

In her role at KU, O’Neill will support the KU College of Business accreditation and assessment processes and workload planning, among various other responsibilities.

Possessing more than 20 years of business leadership experience, O’Neill has previously served as the director of Undergraduate Programs and Accreditation at UW Bothell, as well as taught courses in project management, operations management, process improvement and statistics. She has also served as consultant and owner of O’Neill Business Consulting, where she worked with a variety of organizations on process improvement, business results and regulatory compliance.

Prior to her time at UW Bothell, O’Neill held management positions at various medical device companies in the Seattle area, including Phillips, Sonosite and Cardiac Science. She began her professional career in the defense industry, contributing to an assortment of satellite, launch vehicle, tracking station, national defense and missile projects.

O’Neill earned a Master of Business Administration from UW, a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, a Master of Science in engineering management from California State University – Long Beach, and Bachelor of Science degrees in mathematics and economics from Loyola Marymount University.
