Reading Country Club Golfers have Raised More than $100,000 for the Community

Here’s news that is worth sharing.

In 2019, RCC golfers and sponsors have raised $17,851 that has been donated to local charitable organizations. Since 2010, RCC golfers and sponsors have raised $106,749.99 that has stayed in our community.

Here are just two examples of how RCC golfers and sponsors support our community.

  •  In 2019, the Exeter Area Food Pantry received $8,643.58. Since 2010, the food pantry has received $52,058, a direct result of golf activities at RCC. The Food Pantry uses the money to support Exeter families in need.
  • This year, the Exeter Community Library received $2,563, bringing the total donation to $14,903. The library uses the money to purchase books and support the many wonderful programs that engage our children, ourselves, our parents and our grandparents. Every dollar donated to the library is a dollar that does not come from our local government.

All of these fund-raising activities are organized by volunteer members of the Exeter-Reading Country Partnership. Every dollar raised is donated. There are no administrative expenses. No public money is used.

Further, Reading Country Club benefits because the golfers pay greens and cart fees and purchase food and beverages, all of which contributes to Reading Country Club’s revenue.

The golfers and sponsors support these events because they care about their community and because they understand Reading Country Club’s valuable role in Exeter Township and Berks County.
