October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month!
You Are Invited to the 18th Annual Safe Berks Silent Witness March & Dedication
Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the RACC Schmidt Training & Technology Center
The Safe Berks Silent Witness Project is a visual monument to Berks County women, men, and children who were victims of domestic violence homicide. As we march from Safe Berks to Reading Area Community College, we will carry red, life-size silhouettes that symbolize the victims. Each silhouette wears a shield that describes the tragedy of their untimely death.

The Silent Witnesses will be escorted in a symbolic march from the Safe Berks office located at 255 Chestnut Street in Reading, to RACC.
The public is encouraged to attend!
Schedule:
• 11:00 – 11:20 a.m.: Gather and assemble at Safe Berks (255 Chestnut Street, Reading) in preparation for the March to RACC
• 11:20-11:50 a.m.: March to RACC’s Schmidt Training & Technology Center
• Noon – 12:40 p.m.: Dedication
• 12:45 – 2:00 p.m.: Lunch will follow the ceremony
Safe Berks provides free services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Last year, Safe Berks served more than 4,000 clients. Our Safe House provided a haven to approximately 800 people, including 400 children.
