Herbein Names Two to the 2019 PICPA Young Leader Awards

Stephanie Chandler and Ashley Blessing were named to the 2019 class of Young Leaders

Reading, PA – The Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) has honored Stephanie Chandler and Ashley Blessing of Herbein + Company, Inc., for the PICPA 2019 Young Leader Awards. The Young Leader Award recipients have demonstrated leadership skills that will propel their success in a profession committed to protecting the public interest. It recognizes members under the age of 40 who demonstrate their commitment to the accounting profession through active PICPA or community volunteer efforts.

Ashley N. Blessing, CPA is a Supervisor in Herbein’s Small Business Department and focuses on financial statement preparation, corporate tax services, and individual taxation.  She works with a variety of corporate clients in industries such as wholesale produce, professional services, manufacturing and distribution. Ashley is Co-Chair of the PICPA Reading Chapter Emerging CPAs committee, and a member of the PICPA Reading Chapter Community Engagement Committee. In addition to being heavily involved with the PICPA, Ashley is on the board of the Pennsylvania Community Development and Finance Corporation, an Associate Board Member of the Discovery Federal Credit Union, and a member of the Greater Reading Young Professionals. She graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Accounting.

Stephanie L. Chandler, CPA is a Supervisor in Herbein’s Tax Department and focuses on corporate tax services, including federal and multi-state tax compliance and planning for clients in a variety of industries.  She also assists many of the firm’s individual tax clients with tax planning and compliance. Stephanie is a member of the PICPA Reading Chapter Executive Committee, Co-Chair of the PICPA Reading Chapter Emerging CPAs committee, and a member of the PICPA Community Engagement Committee. In addition to being heavily involved with the PICPA, she is a member of the Berks County Estate Planning Council and the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives. She graduated from Kutztown University with a B.S.B.A in Business.
