Reading, PA – Albright College Improv and Sketch Comedy teams offer several events that are free and open to the public this fall. Soviet Purgatory will host comedy on Wednesday, Oct. 16, and Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 9:30 p.m. The Sketch Society will host “Sketchy History” on Friday, Nov. 1 at 9:30 p.m., and Albright Improv will host “Black-Tie Optional” on Friday, Dec. 6 at 9:30 p.m. All events are held in Roop Hall, located in Albright’s Center for the Arts.

Founded by Professor Matt Fotis, Soviet Purgatory is an audition based, long-form improv group that uses audience suggestions to inspire a collection of scene-based comedy.

Albright Improv is a short-form, game-based improv group that also uses audience suggestion to inspire each game or scene.
