Field of Screams

What other way of getting into the spirit for spooky season than going to a haunted attraction? Field of Screams is a great place to start getting in the Halloween spirit! This haunted attraction has been around since 1993. Field of Screams is in Mountville PA, which is not in Berks County but is worth the drive.

Field of Screams has four terrifying attractions, but you should only enter if you dare. Driving into the parking lot, you can already hear the terrifying screams coming from the attractions. The four attractions are the Haunted Hayride, Den of Darkness, Frightmare Asylum, and Nocturnal Wasteland. The Haunted Hayride is a nice slow ride through many different scary barns. Not to give anything away, but make sure you stay close to your loved ones and be aware of your surroundings because you never know when someone is going to be behind you.

Den of Darkness, Frightmare Asylum, and Nocturnal Wasteland are all walk-thru attractions. Nocturnal Wasteland is the only walk-thru attraction that is outside. All the walk-thru attractions are terrifying. Every time you turn the corner you do not know if someone is there or not; especially when it is pitch dark in the rooms. These four attractions are always available when Field of Screams is open.

Field of Screams also has other unique nights throughout the year that everyone should be looking forward to. This year on November 15th, which is a Friday, is the Extreme Blackout attraction. It is the number one night for Field of Screams, tickets are limited. This night is when all four attractions are the same but more terrifying. Everyone who goes must sign a waiver, people under the age of 18 years old must have a wavier signed by a parent or guardian. This event is more terrifying and more hands on. The lights are dimmer, the actors can take you and put you in isolation. The actors can do physical restraint and different types of torture that does not happen on a regular Field of Screams night. Only some will survive, will you attend this terrifying night?

Spooky Season is usually focused in later September, October, and early November. Who ever said we had to only be in the spirit during this time? Who is holding us back? No one! Field of Screams now has different special events that is outside of this time period. They will be open on December 13th, because it is Friday the 13th! They will also be open for Valentine’s Day, because what is a better date than you and your loved one going to get terrified together? March is another month that has the 13th land on a Friday. What else is better than pushing your luck at a haunted attraction on a Friday the 13th? May 2nd is the halfway point to Halloween. If you attend Field of Screams, you will get to have a sneak peek of the new changes that are made for the 2020 Spooky Season.
