Music is in the Air at Albright College

Reading, PA – Albright College’s Music Department will be hosting several events Nov. 9 through Dec. 8 in the Merner-Pfeiffer-Klein Memorial Chapel, and Roop Hall, located in Albright College’s Center for the Arts. All events are free and open to the public. 

Lion Records LIVE! 

Sat., Nov. 9 at 7 p.m., Memorial Chapel 

Several students signed to Albright’s record label, Lion Records, will perform original, unreleased music. The audience will vote on their favorite songs.

 

Jazz Band Concert

Fri., Nov. 22, 7:30 p.m., Memorial Chapel 

Directed by Kelly Powers, the Jazz Band will perform several songs from across Jazz history.

  

Symphonic Band Concert

Sat., Nov. 23, 7:30 p.m., Memorial Chapel 

Directed by Timothy Gross, the Symphonic Band will perform several classical and contemporary numbers.

  

Sunday Sinfonia at Albright College

Sun., Nov. 24, 3 p.m., Memorial Chapel 

This casual orchestra, led by Simon Maurer, will perform several pieces from different genres, and from around the world.

  

Celebrate the Season: What Sweeter Music, a Choral Concert

Sat., Dec. 7, 7:30 p.m., Memorial Chapel

Directed by Kevin Dibble, the Albright Angels, Mane Men, Women’s Chorale and Concert Choir, will be performing various songs to commemorate the holiday season.  

  

Roar Like a Lion, Music Student Recital 

Sun., Dec. 8, 3 p.m., Roop Hall 

Albright students will offer solo performances.
