Donations Will Benefit Local Pets through the Humane Society of Berks County
(Reading, PA) – FirstEnergy Stadium will host Spike’s Pet Pantry Donation Drive-Thru for the Humane Society of Berks County on Sunday, December 1st from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The organization is seeking donations of unopened dry dog and cat food. Those looking to contribute can simply drive up to the stadium, and Humane Society staff will unload the donation and place it onto a collection truck. Everyone who donates will be entered to win a raffle basket.
Spike’s Pet Pantry works to ensure that pet owners who have fallen on hard times are not forced to give up their pet due to a layoff, illness, or other unavoidable situation.
The organization supplies pet food donations directly to pet owners through Humane Pennsylvania’s Community Resource Center in Reading, and through the county’s network of human food pantries, helping keep local pets fed and safe in their homes.
