Pep Rally Marks RHS Alumni Reunion

Pep Rally Marks RHS Alumni Reunion

READING, Pa. – Manor at Market Square looked festive in red and black, the colors of the Reading School District, in a show of its Red Knight spirit on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Residents and Reading Senior High School alumni gathered in the atrium at the senior living community in downtown Reading for a good old-fashioned pep rally. This was the second year that Manor at Market Square held an alumni reunion for RHS classes of 1940-1970.

Special guests, members of the RHS boys basketball team, were a pleasant surprise to those in attendance. The young men interacted with residents and alumni; enjoying lunch them while reminiscing over high school experiences from way back when.

“It was a great turnout. Everyone enjoyed meeting and talking with members of the boys basketball team. The young men were respectful, courteous and friendly,” said Jill Reinheimer, marketing director at Manor at Market Square, “We’re grateful they could be a part of this special event.”

The senior living community also donated gift cards to the RHS Basketball Squires Club, a 501(c)(3) public charity that supports the RHS boys basketball program, which assists in providing team meals, attire, camps, clinics and tournaments.
