ANNVILLE, Pa. – Earning her second conference weekly award, sophomore Dejah Terrell was named the MAC Commonwealth Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office on December 9.
In two conference road wins last week, Terrell tallied 18 defensive rebounds along with 11 blocks and six steals. At Arcadia, she posted five blocks and seven defensive rebounds while scoring 13 points. Terrell registered six blocks and six steals paired with a double-double from 11 rebounds and 20 points in a victory at Lebanon Valley.
The Lions remain undefeated on the season with a current record of 9-0 and conference record of 2-0.
Terrell ranks second in MAC Commonwealth scoring, averaging 18.9 points per game and is third in defensive rebounds with 7.1 per game and in blocked shots with 3.0 per game. Additionally, the sophomore is fifth in field goal percentage in the conference at 52.7%.
The Albright women’s basketball team will host Hood College on Saturday, Dec. 14 for a 1 p.m. tip-off.
