Find help, find hope! Recognizing that people affected by mental illness often serve as vital components of society in a wide variety of ways, NAMI Berks County PA is a grassroots mental health organization of families and individuals whose lives have been affected by mental illness. We are an Affiliate of NAMI and of NAMI Keystone, PA. We advocate for lives of quality and respect, without discrimination and stigma, for all of our constituents. NAMI Connection Peer Recovery Support Group is a free, peer-led support group for any adult who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. This support group is unique, because it follows a structured model to ensure that everyone in the group has an opportunity to be heard.  2nd and 4th Thursday evening of every month, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.  St. James Church, 644 Penn Ave, West Reading PA 19611.  Enter by the glass door at the rear of church on Cherry Street.  Parking is available on the street or in the public lot between Franklin and Cherry just behind the church.   Contact NAMI Berks County PA at 610-685-3000 or [email protected].  More info at www.namiberkspa.org.

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Family Support Group – a peer-led support group for family members, caregivers and loved ones of individuals living with a mental health condition.  Gain insight from the challenges and successes of others facing similar circumstances.  Meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month, 7 pm – 8:30 pm, Calvary United Church of Christ, 640 Centre Avenue, Reading PA 19601.  Park in church parking lot and enter at NAMI sign at back door.  Contact NAMI Berks County PA at 610-685-3000 or [email protected].  More info at www.namiberkspa.org.
