RKL Announces New Audit Services Hires in Reading Office

SPRING TOWNSHIP, PA  – RKL LLP has announced the hire of three new managers in its Audit Services Group, all based in the firm’s Reading office.

James E. Ruffin, CPA, CISA, brings more than five years of public accounting experience, most recently at a top five national accounting firm. At RKL, Ruffin specializes in SSAE 18 (SOC) attestation services (SOC Readiness, SOC 1 and SOC 2) for organizations providing services including loan origination core processing,  data hosting, life insurance policy data processing, and more. Ruffin’s experience also includes performing IT Internal Audit and IT General Controls risk assessments. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration – Accounting, with a concentration in fraud examination from Bloomsburg University, and resides in West Reading.

Kelly M. Godfrey, CPA, brings more than 11 years of accounting experience with public and private industries, including non-profit and government. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Finance for a rapidly growing human services nonprofit. Additionally, Godfrey has eight years of operations management experience for a large Mid-Atlantic for-profit company. In her role at RKL, she leads audit engagement teams, as well as financial statement coordination and reporting. Godfrey holds a B.S. in Accounting from Lebanon Valley College and a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Bloomsburg University. She resides in Lebanon.

Colin M. Henny, CPA, returns to the firm, which he first joined in 2012 after graduating from college. He brings with him more than seven years of experience and specializes in performing full and limited audit scopes with a concentration in the financial services industry, specifically credit unions. He holds a BSBA in Accounting and Finance from Kutztown University and resides in Sinking Spring.
