Berks County Wine Trail Winter Warmers Wine Tasting Weekend

by Berks County Wine Trail

Jan 14, 2020

(Southeastern Pennsylvania) Berks County Wine Trail is warding off winter’s cold with our Winter Warmer Wine Tasting Weekend, January 18 and 19, 2020. Enjoy featured wines together with samples of hot soups, heavenly desserts, and other comfort-inspired pairings, at each of our 11 wine trail locations.

Take a self-guided tour of the Berks County area winter landscapes for this wine tasting event from noon until 5:00 both days. Winter Warmers is a free sampling event; no reservations or tickets needed for the featured pairing at each winery. Note, most wineries charge a tasting fee for their full wine list.

Here’s a preview of what our wineries have planned:

Setter Ridge – A special Chocolate Bourbon spiked Syrah cocktail and a Spicy Mexican Hot Chocolate Fudge

Stoudt’s Winery – From orchard country, it’s Appalachian Spice Wine served with a warm, old-fashioned Apple Crisp

Deerfoot Winery – Steaming Pumpkin Coriander soup paired with Cabernet Franc Country Rose

Ridgewood Winery – Olde Orchard Hot Butter Rum cocktail splashed over Vanilla Ice Cream

Weathered – Buttery steamed potato-filled Pierogies, topped with caramelized onion, and served with a toasty oaked Chardonnay

KOG Hill Winery – Warm up with a hearty and flavor-packed Southwest Turkey Chili served alongside a light and fruity Pinot Noir

Manatawny Creek Winery – Mushroom sauce tops a creamy Mac & Cheese paired with the sunshine flavor of Soliel, a Cayuga & Seyval Blanc, wine

Stone Barn Cellars – Loaded Potato Soup with bacon, cheese, and all the fixin’s, served with customer favorite Vidal Blanc

Stonekeep Meadery – Piping hot Butternut Squash Bisque served with crisp and fragrant Gewurztraminer or Cayuga for a sweeter wine pairing

Calvaresi Winery – Warmed Winter Spice wine and Apple Pie Sangria, like homemade apple pie in a glass

Long Trout Winery –  Bacon Cheeseburger Tots are like a burger and fries without the drive-thru paired with Afternoon Delight (Pinot Gris) and Wine Hot Chocolate for a warm and sweet ending
