Kramer Named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week

Annville, Pa. (Feb. 3, 2020) – Alvernia Women’s Basketball freshman Cathryn Kramer was named the MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week for her performance during the week of January 27- February 2.

Kramer is the first Women’s Basketball player from Alvernia to earn MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week honors since Tyra Roberts back in December of 2015.

Kramer earned the honor after averaging 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in a 2-0 MAC Commonwealth week for Alvernia. On Wednesday, she broke the 29 year old single-season blocks record with her fourth and final block of the game at Stevenson. She also went 5-for-5 from the floor and scored 13 points with eight rebounds in a win at Stevenson. On Saturday, she helped lead Alvernia to an overtime win over Lebanon Valley with 20 points, 13 rebounds, and six blocks.
