Art by Exeter students featured at exhibit in Reading

READING, PA  – Amazing artwork by talented students of all ages in the Exeter Township School District is on public display at Berks County Community Foundation through April 24.

The exhibit opened to the public this week. Student artists and their families, friends, teachers, and supporters are invited to attend an opening reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 8. Light refreshments will be served.

The exhibit is part of an ongoing series showcasing artwork by students from across Berks County. Previous exhibits featured artwork by students from the Boyertown, Conrad Weiser, Governor Mifflin, Kutztown, Muhlenberg, Reading, Tulpehocken, Wilson, and Wyomissing school districts, as well as students from area parochial schools and students who volunteer for VOiCEup Berks. VOiCEup is a fund of the Community Foundation that creates opportunities for people to volunteer in the community.

The exhibits, which feature work in varying media, are a way for the community to support student artists and schools’ art curricula. The eventual goal of the Community Foundation’s exhibit series is to showcase artwork from students representing all schools in Berks County.

The free exhibit in the Community Foundation building at 237 Court St., Reading, is open to visitors Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
