Habitat for Humanity of Berks County Birdhouse Challenge is sure to entertain

The countdown to the 5th annual Birdhouse Challenge has begun! Habitat for Humanity of Berks County is pleased to announce this year’s event will be held on Tuesday March 24, 2020 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading. The Birdhouse Challenge features both traditional and wildly creative birdhouses from local artists, craftsmen, and first-time birdhouse builders. Businesses and individuals throughout Berks County highlight their products, services, and talents using their interpretation of the birdhouse as their guide.

Birdhouses will begin arriving at the DoubleTree on March 2 and will be on display a full two weeks before the event. Visitors to the DoubleTree will see the artistry and innovation of the people of our great community! Birdhouses will be auctioned during the event with begins at 5:30 p.m. The evening will include auctions, games, two-hour open bar and hors d’oeuvres.

We welcome back our enthusiastic and energetic planning committee this year. Patrice Bentz serves as the Chair of the Birdhouse Challenge. Patrice is joined by the following committee members: Michele McCartney, Tina Hogue, Cheryl Takach and Phillip Nguyen. This hard-working committee spends hours of their time and energy for this event!

Individuals interested in attending the event can register at the website, www.habitatberks.org.
