From The City of Reading City Council

Mar 20, 2020

The City of Reading City Council will be conducting its Monday, March 23rd regular business meeting in Council Chambers starting at 5:30 pm (please note time change).  There will be no Committee of the Whole (COW) meeting in advance of the regular meeting.  The March 23rd agenda will be limited to include legislation that pertains directly to city related business, priorities and issues that can be taken care of quickly to prevent a backlog.

The Council President, Acting Solicitor and City Clerk will be attending the meeting in person and the remaining members of Council may choose to connect with the meeting electronically or by telephone, rather than in person.  There will be no reports from the Mayor, Auditor or boards and departments. Council comment will relate only to legislative matters.

Due to COVID-19 also known as the Coronavirus, the public is prohibited from attending the meeting.  Public comment will only be accepted in writing  through an email to [email protected].  Public comment must be submitted by 5:00 pm on Monday, March 23rd to allow time to print and distribute the public comment submitted.  The comment received will be read into the record.

The meeting will be broadcast on the BCTV MAC channel 99 and streamed on the City’s website at https://www.readingpa.gov/content/city-council-video.  The Council agenda can be viewed at https://www.readingpa.gov/council_minutes_agendas#quickset-council_meeting_minutes_and_agen=1.  (The agenda will be posted on the City’s website Friday morning.)
