West Reading to Celebrate April 2nd Friday with a Facebook Watch Party

Visit West Reading is hosting its first ever Facebook Watch Party to celebrate a unique 2nd Friday this April 10th!

Merchants and Music will be the focus of the Watch Party and YOU are invited! Join us live on our Facebook page starting at 5pm for Virtual Cheers!

Learn about wine, whiskey and mead during our “Happy Hour” and then we will introduce you to some of our wonderful merchants who will speak about their services and how you can support them.

Music by Melanie Ilana, Mike Yesconis, Zach DeSantis and more TBA soon!

2nd Fridays on Penn are typically a night where West Reading Merchants stay open late, offer specials and feature music by local acts. Since COVID-19 is mandating that we respect social distancing practices, the crew at West Reading Community Revitalization Foundation found this to be an innovative way to support our merchants.

Upcoming 2nd Friday featured acts include:
May 8 – Creatures of Content
June 12 – Mo7s
July 10 – BE
August 14 – Drew & The Blue
September 11 – Plan B
October 9 – Tequila Mockingbird

Our website, visitwestreading.org is also a portal for information about West Reading business operation during this crisis. Our COVID-19 Business Guide features restaurants and retailers currently offering services, including takeout, delivery and online shopping.

We have also started a bog to feature individual businesses with lots of inspiration from merchants in these tough times. The blog is titled West Reading “Gets Creative” and can be accessed online https://visitwestreading.com/category/wrgetscreative/.
