Calling on Businesses and Residents to Practice Effective COVID-19 Health and Safety Standards

Reading, PA —As part of the recent public awareness campaign Do Your Part — Stop the Spread, Berks County launched its new website www.DoYourPartBerks.com to help businesses and residents mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our communities here in Berks County. The website contains resources for businesses and residents to help them “Do Their Part” as COVID-19 positive cases within the county continue to rise.

This is a Community Problem—We’re all in this Together.

It’s critical to understand that practicing proper COVID-19 Health and Safety measures will only work effectively if we all do our part. This is a community problem, and it is going to take a community to help resolve it. Kim Woerle of Evoke by Design, LLC saw the importance of getting involved to address the issue of COVID-19 and generously donated her time and skills to help get the message out! The brightly colored design headlining the Do Your Part — Stop the Spread campaign was created by Woerle and will soon appear across Berks County.

“I donated my services because I love Berks County and the people in our community. I want to inspire everyone to stay safe and do their part to keep everyone safe!”

It’s Time to Take Action and Do Your Part Berks.

We’re asking all businesses and institutions in Berks County to immediately institute COVID-19 Health and Safety policies to protect both their staff and customers. A list of safety recommendations and guidelines for active businesses are available on our new Berks COVID 19 website www.DoYourPartBerks.com. Compliance posters in both English and Spanish are available for businesses to download and display in their businesses and storefronts. These posters will serve as a visual marker to all residents that this establishment is doing their part to protect their staff and customers. Community members can also show their support of Berks County businesses complying with COVID-19 Health and Safety regulations by displaying a We’re Doing Our Part poster in their window at home. That may also be downloaded at www.DoYourPartBerks.com

“Determining how quickly we can transition to a new “normal” depends entirely on how we as a community respond to this crisis. It’s time to protect our businesses, protect our neighbors, and protect ourselves by practicing proper COVID-19 Health and Safety measures and doing our part to Stop the Spread.” – Commissioner Christian Leinbach
