Virtual Family Council meetings available from PA Long Term Care Ombudsman Program

from Berks County Area Agency on Aging

May 04, 2020

Over the past several weeks, as the COVID-19 pandemic began to impact Pennsylvania, the Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman has been striving to develop resources to assist residents and their families at this difficult time.

We are pleased to announce that we have established a Virtual Family Council that is open to any family member or friend of a long-term care consumer in Pennsylvania.  These meetings will be hosted by our the PA Long-Term Care Ombudsman Office and will be web-based.  The meetings will not only provide an opportunity for dialogue and networking but updates regarding resources and policies will be provided as well.

We know that you may have concerns regarding long-term care consumers at this time.  We are inviting you to participate on these free resource Zoom meeting calls or ‘as needed.’

VFC Postcard provides details about dates, times and connecting to the calls.

Virtual Family Council Guidelines provides Virtual Family Council Guidelines for the calls.  There is also a corresponding Facebook page for this project as well:
