Reading Public Museum Sculpture Reinstalled

A sculpture that washed away during last year’s flood and was later found in the Schuylkill River by citizens and dragged to shore, has been repaired by the artist and was reinstalled on the grounds of the Reading Public Museum on Thursday, May 14.

The piece was carefully unloaded and then bolted down in it’s new permanent location, closer to the museum.  The sculpture is called Itzamna Stella, by Hans Van de Bovenkamp.

Individuals in photos of installation include: Scott Schweigert, Curator of Art; John Graydon Smith, CEO; Dan Runkel, Manager of Building & Grounds; Jack Renski, Maintenance.
