Centro Hispano Virtual Town Hall:  Mental Health During the Coronavirus will air Live via Centro Hispano Daniel Torres Facebook Page to address stress and coping during the pandemic.

Reading, PA – The Centro Hispano Daniel Torres will host a virtual town hall Thursday, May 28, via its Centro Hispano Daniel Torres Facebook page.  The live stream will air in two segments.  Beginning at 7 pm the town hall will be conducted in English.  At 7:45 the town hall will be conducted in Spanish to reach the Spanish speaking members of our community.  The discussion for tomorrow’s town hall will include Professional Counselor Maria Hollenbach, Centro Hispano’s Director of Social Services Ineavelle Ruiz, and COO Rick Olmos.

“The Latino community has always been wary of the taboo associated with the term mental health. We are bringing this town hall that can clearly show that we are all dealing with the pressure of this pandemic crisis in different ways, and how together, we can relieve some of the problems. We no longer have to deal with these problems in silence,” stated Centro Hispano CEO Mike Toledo. “We need to break down that barrier and begin to help ourselves and each other with the resources available in our community.”
