Mayor Eddie Moran will Host a Community Clean Up Day this Weekend

Reading, PA – Keeping the City of Reading clean is a priority for Mayor Eddie Moran. He is continuously looking for new tools to engage and encourage the community to team up with him, and take care of our neighborhoods. As part of the Mayor’s Clean City initiative, Mayor Moran is hosting a Community Clean Up Day this Saturday and wants residents to be part of it.

The Mayor says, “Events like this weekend’s Community Clean Up Day will not only improve our City’s appearance but also address a significant public health issue. I’m determined to make Reading the best City in our region, but it’s not possible without your support. I think we can set an example to others by keeping our surroundings clean and be proud of a City we can all play, live, work, and learn.” In addition to the Reading Parking Authority and Public Works Departments, business owners and organizations are joining us in this effort; Mayor Moran extends his gratitude to every single one for their commitment.

The Community Clean Up Day is scheduled for this Saturday, June 27th, and will kick off at 9:00 am from the South Penn Garage at 613 Franklin Street, Reading, PA 19602.
