Doe license applications only accepted by mail, no over-the-counter purchases

From County of Berks

Jul 18, 2020

Reading, PA  — Due to the ongoing health threat presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Berks County Treasurer’s office has issued the following policy regarding antlerless deer (doe) licenses for 2020:

All applications MUST BE SENT VIA US MAIL. There will be NO OVER-THE-COUNTER purchases of doe licenses in Berks County for this season. Use of the drop box is also prohibited. Applications without a US Postmark will be returned.

The processing of routine mail-in license applications began on July 13. According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, any applications received on August 24 or after will be treated like an over-the-counter purchase.

Applicants can apply for unlimited licenses for wildlife management areas 2B, 5C and 5D, but are limited to three applications per envelope.
