Caltagirone applauds near-$1M project to fight blight in Reading

READING, PA – State Rep. Tom Caltagirone applauded the announcement that the Industrial Sites Reuse Program will clean up a blighted property in Berks County and prepare it to be used as residential properties.

“I have focused on writing legislation to help correct blight, not only in Reading, but throughout Pennsylvania,” Caltagirone said. “Projects like this are necessary to restore and revitalize our communities.

“I’m looking forward to the day when this project restores this section of Reading and creates safe homes for the next generation of Berks County families.”

The project announced today would:

This is one of three approved projects around the state announced today. Earlier this year, Caltagirone’s H.B. 896 to fight blight in Pennsylvania passed the House unanimously
