How will the pandemic affect workers–where we work, how we work? Will businesses close their offices and go fully online? How will this affect essential workers? Does this make Internet access an essential service, like water or electricity?

What can companies do to support their employees during this challenging time? What can companies do to help support local small businesses?

How will it affect where we shop? Will online shopping continue to grow? What will happen to our shopping centers? Our restaurants and grocery stores?

Will this change where we live? And how we live?

We may not know all of the answers.

But it is likely things will change. The response to the cholera epidemic helped launch public water and sewer systems. What changes could we expect to see with this health crisis?

Join us for the final event in our three-part series on the impact of the Coronavirus Pandemic, sponsored by the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank and community partners–the Berks Alliance, the Berks County Community Foundation, the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, the Community First Fund, Albright College Center for Excellence in Local Government and Neighborhood Housing Services.
