Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County announces new Board Member

West Reading – Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County is pleased to announce that Tamara Smith has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors. The staff and volunteers congratulate and welcome Tamara to the BCSS family.

Dr. Tamara Smith is currently the Director of Education at McCann School of Business and Technology.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science from Oakwood university, her Master’s Degree in The Art of Teaching from Marygrove College, and her Doctorate of Philosophy in Education from Capella Universty.

Tamara brings over 20 years of teaching and administrative experience to BCSS. Her strong leadership, creative, and anaytical skills will assist in establishing partnerships as well as shaping programs for the organization. Her past board experiences and professional tenure will be beneficial in the organizations fund development and community awareness initiatives.  

She resides in Reading with her husband Michael and their son Demerious. Tamara is a lover of “everything Reading” and services for women of all ages.

The Board of Directors and staff of BCSS congratulate Tamara on her nomination and election.
