Online Learning Support Camp at the South Mountain YMCA Camps

The South Mountain YMCA Camps, like other non-profits in Berks County, is working to support families and students with safe, flexible childcare options as local schools embrace virtual and hybrid learning models.  “Our families have been hit hard this year, and providing a safe space for children to learn while their parents work is the best way we know to be of service to the community,” says Nathan Brant, CEO of the South Mountain YMCA Camps.

Beginning September 8, 2020, the ONLINE LEARNING SUPPORT CAMP will provide educational and recreational support for students in grades k-8 attending virtual or hybrid schools.  Participants in this program will have scheduled time to complete assignments according to their school district’s educational plan, and they will also have time to get outdoors across the facility’s 600+ acres and engage in programs like hiking, climbing, archery, and sports with trained, background-checked staff.

Families can register their students for the ONLINE LEARNING SUPPORT CAMP now at https://www.smymca.org/summer-camps/online-learning-support-camp/, or by calling Cory Evans at 610-670-2267.
