Tilly’s Terrific Movie Nights and Spike’s Sunday Fundays

Reading, PA – Following multiple events being cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, Humane Pennsylvania has announced an event series allowing the community to get out of the house and benefit Humane Pennsylvania.

Humane Pennsylvania will be presenting movies and live music throughout the months of September, October, and November. These events will be held at The Danielle Ruiz-Murphy Center Dog Park in Exeter Township.

Tilly’s Terrific Movie Nights will feature outdoor movie screenings, with the first feature on Saturday, September 12th of Trolls World Tour. Spike’s Sunday Fundays will feature local bands and musicians, with the first feature on Sunday, September 27th. Humane Pennsylvania’s dog park has a natural amphitheater and allows for outdoor movies and concert seating.

According to Karel Minor, Humane Pennsylvania CEO, this series will be an opportunity for families to have fun safely. “So many of us have missed events we look forward to because of COVID this year. Humane Pennsylvania is excited to use our dog park in Exeter Township to offer affordable events to the community!”

Event series dates and times:

Each event will offer food from local food trucks, as well as beer and wine. All wine served is sponsored by Rescue Dog Wines and Legacy In A Glass. Humane Pennsylvania will also have a table set-up with available merchandise for sale and raffle baskets to bid on.

“We are excited to team up with local businesses that will be offering delicious bites and beverages for our attendees to enjoy!” said Minor.

Tilly’s Terrific Movie Nights and Spike’s Sunday Funday is the premier family event series that is entertaining and affordable for everyone. Tickets should be purchased as soon as possible, as seating is limited due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Key ways community members can get involved:

Events will be operating under the current CDC guidelines for social distancing, and will require masks to be worn when attendees are not seated and walking throughout the event. The designated spaces in the first 3 rows are socially distant to comply with regulations, and Humane Pennsylvania requires those in the open seating to space themselves out accordingly.
