Trauma Informed Care Education Series

By United Way of Berks County

Sep 15, 2020

United Way of Berks County and the Ready.Set.READ! program are providing varied support to the educational community during these unusual and trying times, including resources around trauma informed care as COVID is requiring schools to support new methods of learning, etc. Specifically, we are sharing resources with educators/schools relating to a four part series developed by Dr. Colleen Lelli, Director of The Barbara and John Jordan Center for Children of Trauma and Domestic Violence Education, and her colleagues at Cabrini University.

The sessions are available at www.readysetreadberks.org (under the menu tab for educators).

A new session in the series will be released every Thursday between now and September 24th and will culminate in a live Question and Answer Session with the presenters on Thursday, October 1st from 6:30p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The first session, Trauma Overview and Review presented by Dr. Lelli, is available by visiting the Educators tab of the Ready.Set.READ! website at www.readysetreadberks.org.  To find out more about Dr. Lelli and the Jordan Center, please visit https://www.cabrini.edu/about/departments/academic-departments/school-of-education/center-for-children-of-trauma-and-domestic-violence-education
