Reading, PA — The Berks County Office of Election Services announced Tuesday that fulfilling requests for mail-in and absentee ballots for the Nov. 3 General Election will be delayed due to an order from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court issued late Monday. The order granted a stay pending appeal in the challenge filed to the Green Party’s nominees and directed the Commonwealth to not certify the final general election ballot until a further order is issued.

This order will delay ballot access throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania until the state Supreme Court issues a new order. The Berks County Office of Elections will fulfill requests for mail-in and absentee ballots as quickly as possible once ballot certification is received from the Department of State.
