Berks County Realtor® Receives State Realtor® Active in Politics Award

Berks County Realtor® Mark Mohn was recently presented the Realtor® Active in Politics award by the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors®. The award recognizes exemplary legislative volunteerism on behalf of the state organization.

Mohn, with the RE/MAX of Reading office, has been a Realtor® for 14 years and works tirelessly to move Realtor® and homeownership legislative issues at the local, state and national levels. He has served as chair of PAR’s Legislative and the Public Policy Coordinating committees, a RPAC trustee and is a Sterling R RPAC major investor. He’s also presented testimony on behalf of PAR before a state legislative hearing and regularly attends hill visits.

“Mark is an outstanding advocate on behalf of Realtors® and homeowners,” said PAR President Bill Festa. “He volunteers at the local, state and national levels of our organization to support issues that promote homeownership.”

He served as the president of his local association, the Reading-Berks Association of Realtors®. He’s been a member of the Legislative Committee, served as chair of their RPAC trustees and has been a RPAC investor for 14 years.

Mohn represents the real estate industry serving on several local community organizations, including the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance task force on workforce housing, the Berks County task force on housing availability and served as a panelist at the Center for Excellence in Local Government on zoning and permitting processes.

Mohn serves as a National Association of Realtors® federal political coordinator for Congressman Dan Meuser, discussing issues like the National Flood Insurance Program, fair housing and opportunity zones.

The Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® proudly celebrates its 100th anniversary of representing more than 35,000 Realtors® in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
