Creative Placemaking leverages the arts and culture to encourage the creation of a sense of place. Placemaking helps form vibrant centers in communities encouraging community development. It has proven to be a useful tool in community development, helping to create stronger, more resilient and engaged communities.
Will Herbig, Senior Director of Building Healthy Places for the Urban Land Institute will provide examples of how other communities have used creative placemaking to transform their communities.
Will will joined by a panel of Berks County community leaders who will respond to his presentation and speak about their efforts to use creative placemaking.
