Literacy Council Appoints Dr. Anna Weitz to Board of Directors

West Lawn, PA – The Literacy Council of Reading-Berks announced that Dr. Anna Weitz, President Emerita of Reading Area Community College, has been appointed to its Board of Directors.

Weitz retired from RACC in June 2018 after 11 years at RACC, and 49 years in education. She is excited to help the Council fulfill its mission of helping adults in their workplaces and communities. In addition to her work at the Council, she is also an active member of the Boards of the Wyomissing Foundation and the Reading Public Museum Foundation.

“Anna has been a supporter of adult literacy in Berks County since she arrived here in 2007. All of us at the Council are excited to have her as her passion for our students and our mission will be paramount as we navigate this new time of providing services during a national pandemic,” said Ryan A. Breisch, Executive Director of the Council.
